Day 3: November 25, 2017
The second day, Nov 25th of the 6th IFAD will start with a plenary session with lectures on fluids in mechanical ventilation, evidence based medicine, the boiling frog and the sodium conundrum. Afterwards the day moves along in two parallel sessions with topics for intensivists, anaesthetists or a broader audience. After lunch 6 master class satellite symposia will be organsied. Not to be missed are the hot topics sessions with closure of the colloid crystalloid debate and fluids in children (that are not small adults). The 6th IFAD meeting will end with a plenary session confronting the old and new ways of spreading medical knowledge (social media and blog sites vs peer review) in a vibrant debate confronting the world-reknown faculty and the SoMe team. After the prize award ceremony the fantastic SoMe (social media) team will wrap things up and provide a concise list of take home messages.
