Biography
Wojciech Dabrowski MD, PhD (1968) graduated Medical University of Lublin in 1993. After finishing the pre-registration course he started specialization in anaesthesiology and intensive therapy in 1994. Contemporaneously, he was working as an assistant in the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Therapy of Teaching Hospital No 4 I Lublin, Poland. In 2000 he received with honors the State Certificate of fully qualified specialist in anaesthesiology and intensive therapy. He has been active researcher with many undergraduate honors and awards. His main fields of research are fluid therapy and body water disturbance in critically ill patients, hemodynamic monitoring, intra-abdominal pressure and abdominal compartment syndrome, as well as traumatic brain injury and brain-heart-abdominal interactions. He cooperates with McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. In 2003 he graduated Viena School in Clinical Research. He obtained his PhD from Medical University of Lublin in 2002. In 2013 he has become an associate professor in Medical University of Lublin, Poland. Since 2014 he has been the Head of Department and I Clinic of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Medical University of Lublin, Poland. He is a member and Ambassador of World Society Abdominal Compartment Syndrome. He is the author of more than 150 articles and more than 100 abstracts.
