Dr. Rehberg Sebastian
Biography
Dr Rehberg is the Senior Faculty in the Department of Anesthesiology - Anesthesia, Intensive Care, Emergency and Pain Medicine at the University Hospital of Greifswald. He has a Professorship at the University of Muenster, where he continues his experimental and clinical research on sepsis and multiple organ dysfunction. In addition, he is a member of the clinical research group “Sepsisdialogue” at Greifswald University. During his scientific career, he completed a post-doctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Dr Traber at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston in Texas.
Dr Rehberg has focused most of his research on non-adrenergic vasopressors (especially vasopressin receptor agonists) and inotropes as well as beta-blockers. He has published more than 80 peer-reviewed articles with over 40 original articles, more than 130 original abstracts for scientific meetings and numerous book chapters. Dr Rehberg was awarded several prizes and grants for his research including the “Heinrich-Draeger-Award” of Intensive Care from the German Association of Anesthesiology and Intensive care as well as the Best Abstract Award of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine.
Dr Rehberg is Associate Editor of the European Journal of Medical Research, member of the Expert panel for Journal Club AINS and a Guest Editor for “Best Practice & Research Cinical Anaesthesiology”. In addition, he serves as a reviewer for multiple journals including Critical Care Medicine, Critical Care, Anesthesia & Analgesia, Minerva Anestesiologica, Plos One, Clinical Pharmakokinetics, British Journal of Pharmacology, Burns and Clinical Cardiology.
